Meet Kit Kat. The newest member of our family.
Brad has been looking for a GOOD kids horse for a year now, and he found one, thanks to his good friend Doug. Doug is a horse guy, like Brad. He found this great horse for the kids.
She is only about 13 so still young enough to have for a while, but old enough that she is not as feisty as a young horse. She is super, duper gentle. She doesn't spook easily, and she is so well trained! Brad rode her bareback with just the halter and lead rope, and she responded to everything he did. So as soon as we throw a saddle and bridle on her the kids will be able to learn how to ride a horse properly. When you give her a treat, she is gentle too. No teeth she just uses her lips which is so funny for horses, but good so the kids don't have to leave their hands totally flat to give her something.
Kodiak loves having company, Lily is still deciding because Kit Kat stepped on her foot. You would think that would absolutely crush a 3 lb Chihuahua's paw, but the ground was so soft from all the rain that Lily's paw just sunk into the ground under Kit Kat's hoof. Now Lily isn't sure what she thinks about the horse.
We definitely needed a Kit Kat break from all the craziness in the World, and in our lives.

Happy Birthday Isaac! We also loved meeting Kit Kat. Now my kids think we have to get a horse.... thanks a lot!! I have to admit.... after meeting her, Im almost tempted!
