I had to stop a minute and wish my baby boy a happy seventh birthday! My brilliant sisters told me that they offer their kids a couple of options, the BIG birthday party, or a family dinner and the money that we would have spent on the party instead.
Isaac this year chose the dinner and money.
We had the family dinner on Friday and celebrated with his cousins because Sam's birthday was the week before so we combined them.
Then we had his "real" dinner tonight because today is his actual birthday. He chose Chinese Food.
The difference between this money and the money he normally earns with tokens is that he can choose how much of it will go into savings and how much he wants to spend. Tithing is set and always the first to be put away. He counted it. Then he counted to make sure we gave him what we said we would. Hahaha~
The first thing he said is that he will buy Eden a Mermaid Barbie that she wants...Happy Birthday Isaac. I love you.

Sounds like he had a great birthday. Can't believe 7 years have gone by already!! Give him another hug from Grandma!!
